As a leader, you are clearly adept at making decisions.
You know how to set goals, set targets, and take massive, decisive action. You are accomplished because quite simply, you get things done.
But … it’s not just about making decisions for an outcome.
In fact, dare I say, you need to release the outcome altogether.
Let’s break it down.
The outcome is the desire that pulls life through you, that inspires and motivates you TO act.
Your intuition, your inner guidance, that voice within (which has been sculpted by your training, your expertise, and your experience), however, is what needs to dictate THE act.
Often times the behavior we would engage with from the place of focusing on a specific outcome versus keeping a vision in mind while acting from the place of guidance, feel different and look different.
The former follows someone else’s dictated strategy, while the latter will be a whole new strategic creation.
Why is this essential in order to be a truly fierce leader?
Because fierce means not forcing. It means not following someone else’s strategy and creating more of the same. It means forging a new path — your path — and veering off from what everyone else is doing.
You’ve heard the phrase “when they zig, we zag.” That’s what this is all about.
Don’t be mistaken, this is an artform. It requires releasing the analytical mind’s hold on your actions, and going with flow. Your flow.
And what a fantastic difference that makes in your life, and more importantly, in the lives of those you serve.
Which decisions do you need to be more fierce about?
With love,
Melissa
