3 Simple Strategies to Use Impostor Syndrome to Your Advantage

As I’ve shared, from a psych perspective, Impostor Syndrome is your ego’s way of trying to preserve itself.  You are, in essence, killing off the old personality and your ego doesn’t want to die.  Understandably.  But also, too bad.

You NEED this spicy dynamic because as a high caliber woman, you crave the dance it provides.  It alerts you that you are on the right track, and let’s be completely honest here … abhor boring.

You also are decidedly not a fan of feeling stuck or even of slowing down.

So let’s jump into the 3 strategies you can implement to use Impostor Syndrome to your advantage (and gain even more traction).

You must begin by deciding that you are in fact the expert. Period. And you are — because you cannot be called to uplevel unless you have it within you to do so. So let’s go.

1 “SINCE I AM THE EXPERT…” which component of what I am beginning to implement / share / create is most important, and how can I expand on that right now? Expand on it. Now.

2 “SINCE I AM THE EXPERT…” what have I not shared yet that some needs? Brainstorm, then implement at least three. Yes, three.

3 “SINCE I AM THE EXPERT…” which demographic have I left out thus far that needs what I have to offer? (Remember – think up, not down or laterally). Reach out to at least three people in that demographic asap.

The answer here is to always go bigger than your current perspective.

Go be that expert the world needs.

AND.

As a bonus, if you weren’t able to catch the Impostor Syndrome soon enough and it’s created a spiral of analysis paralysis and indecision for you, I can help.
